What about teaching turkish as foreign language?

by Turkey Today: a much telling list of International Symposia of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language
1st International Symposium of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language: The Symposium was held at Het Pand Culture and Congress Center of Ghent University in April 2015. It was presented by the Sakarya University Institute of Education Sciences and the Belgium Turkish Associations with the support of the Turkish Language Association and the Yunus Emre Institute.
2nd International Conference of Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language (ICOTFL, 2016): The Institute of Near and Middle Eastern Studies at LMU Munich has terminated its participation in the organisation of the 2nd ICOTFL, a conference we organised jointly with colleagues from the departments of Translation Studies and Education in Turkish at Sakarya University. The reason for this cancellation is the political prosecution the administration of Sakarya University has unleashed to some of their academic personal. Sakarya University has initiated disciplinary proceedings against two graduate research assistants and a PhD student who have signed a declaration for peace; one of the research assistants was shifted to a different function at university. These disciplinary proceedings show that the freedoms of opinion, of research and teaching do no longer exist at Sakarya University. In this situation, an institutional collaboration with Sakarya University is no longer possible.
